Full Time Veterinary Tech Position

Fairfield Animal Hospital - located in gorgeous Kelowna, British Columbia - is looking for a veterinary technician to add to our fast-paced emergency hospital! Kelowna is known as the Napa Valley of Canada; this province is breathtaking and has numerous activities for all outdoor enthusiasts! On your days off in the summer you can lounge on the beach, in the fall visit one of the multiple wineries, and in the winter hit the slopes skiing or snowboarding.
About Us:
We are the only 24-hour emergency clinic within a 4-hour drive in any direction. Our goal is to grow into a specialty clinic, currently, we have 9 ER DVMs and an Internist on staff. We are looking for leaders who are wanting to grow personally and professionally. We have state-of-the-art equipment, such as a CT scanner, which technicians are encouraged to learn to operate. As a technician working at our hospital, you will be emboldened to pursue a VTS if that interests you, we also provide RECOVER BLS/ALS training for our staff.

About You:
Ability to perform tasks associated with Technician responsibilities (including placing IV catheters, venipuncture, administering premedication, anesthesia induction & monitoring, patient preparation, surgical nursing, and perioperative nursing care, dental prophylactics, radiographs, etc.)
TEAM Player with initiative and willingness to jump in and help the team
You are passionate about learning and growing in the industry.
You can easily adapt to the different needs of each patient and are able to remain composed during stressful and emotional situations.
You are committed to outstanding client service, exceptional patient care and really want to make a difference!
Anticipated Schedule:
Open to discussion
Four 10-hour shifts are available
Five 8-hour shifts are available
Compensation:
$27 and up – will increase based on experience

Fairfield Animal Hospital located in the heart of the Okanagan Valley, Kelowna, British Columbia is seeking an emergency veterinarian to join our 24-hour emergency hospital.
Full-time, Part- Time and Locum.
We offer a highly collaborative environment with access to specialists, including an on-site internist 1 day/ week, trained emergency doctors, and experienced and knowledgeable support staff.

Compensation:
We offer great hourly rates between $85-$95 per hour weekdays, with additional shift premiums for overnights and weekends.
