DVM-Provisional
Dr Guilherme Kehdi
Dr Guilherme Kehdi born and raised in Barretos, a small city in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. Growing up, he spent most of his time with his dad, who is also a veterinarian, helping him on the farm. From a young age, he knew he wanted to follow in his father's footsteps.
In 2017, Guilherme graduated and began working with large animals, focusing primarily on embryo transfers in cattle. During this time, he was involved in some of the largest farm projects in Brazil and started working with Senepol cattle at his family’s farm. Through their efforts, they gained national recognition for the quality of their herd, producing several national champions along the way.
As he prepared to move to Canada, he transitioned to working with small animals in Brazil. After relocating, he joined Fairfield Animal Hospital as a veterinary technician while working toward his Canadian veterinary license.
His connection to Canada began in 2009 when he spent time in Winnipeg as an exchange student. Since then, this country has always held a special place in his heart. When he and his wife decided to move during COVID, he was fortunate to find a job in the beautiful Okanagan. They immediately fell in love with the region and everything it has to offer. It was also here that they started their little fur family with Maple Syrup, their golden retriever—named in honor of the country that has welcomed them so warmly.
